As data controller for 23 partner organisations—including HSE Social Inclusion, hospital Inclusion Health teams, Dublin Simon Community, and Merchants Quay Ireland—we connect healthcare providers across the sector. The network provides healthcare professionals with a complete picture at every consultation – including previous diagnoses, ongoing treatments, and referrals – so patients receive consistent, informed care regardless of which service they attend.

Many people living in precarious circumstances do not consistently see a single GP. Someone experiencing homelessness might be seen by the Mobile Health Unit one week, attend the Capuchin Clinic the next, and then present at St James's Hospital. Without a shared record, each consultation starts from scratch—medications get duplicated, chronic conditions go unmanaged, and clinicians make decisions without critical information.

The Safetynet Medical Record Network provides secure, real-time access to patient records for any authorised healthcare professional within the network. Whether a patient is seen on the street, in a hostel, at a drop-in centre, or in hospital, their care history is available to the clinician treating them. This reduces fragmentation, improves safety, and means patients don't have to repeat their story at every appointment.
