HPCT Nurse

The Safetynet Homeless Primary Care Team is a team of GPs, 1 nurse & 1 Key Worker, with operational oversight provided by the Safetynet Senior Nurse Manager. Its remit is to provide GP and nursing support (general and mental health) services to people experiencing homelessness in Dublin.

The HPCT Nurse position is office based in 60 Amiens St, Dublin 1 with a remit to provide drop-in nursing support to people who are experiencing homelessness and residing in supported temporary accommodations and private emergency accommodations, north and south sides of Dublin City, as well as assertive street outreach support to the Dublin Outreach Team for rough sleepers. The role is key to the development and execution of the Safetynet Homeless Primary Care Team.

The HPCT Nurse is responsible for the daily operation of the HPCT service, triaging referrals, scheduling drop-in's and outreach assessments, and ensuring safe and efficient service delivery. The role includes providing hands-on nursing care within emergency homeless accommodation and on assertive street outreach, while also assisting GP’s with the follow up and coordination of patient care. The purpose of this role is to ensure that the clinical services assigned to you operate smoothly, safely, and in line with best practice.

As Safetynet continues to adapt to the needs of our clients, the services requiring nursing support may develop and change over time.

  • Appointment: Full-time, permanent, pensionable

  • Probationary Period: Six Months

  • Annual Salary: €37,744 – €56,587 per annum, in line with the applicable salary scale. Appointment will be made at a point on the scale in accordance with Safetynet Primary Care Pay Policy

  • Working Hours: 35 Hours per week, Monday-Friday

  • Annual Leave: 25 days per annum

  • Location: Based in Dublin, some travel will be required across sites

Head of Operations (Full Time)

The Head of Operations is responsible for leading, shaping, and supporting all Safetynet Primary Care services so that they continue to meet unmet need, deliver high-quality care, and remain true to Safetynet’s mission and values.

This is a senior leadership role that sits at the centre of Safetynet’s work with people experiencing homelessness, vulnerable migrants, and others who face barriers to mainstream healthcare. Reporting to the CEO and working as a key member of the Senior Leadership Team, the Head of Services provides the link between Safetynet’s strategic direction and the day-to-day service delivery.

The role has organisation-wide responsibility for the quality, safety, and development of services; for strong service governance; and for leading a multidisciplinary workforce that is values-led, trauma-informed, and responsive to complex needs. The Head of Services ensures that Safetynet services are well planned, well-staffed, and well supported, and that service users experience care that is inclusive, respectful, and person-centred.

  • Appointment: Full-time, permanent, pensionable

  • Probationary Period: Six Months

  • Annual Salary: The salary scale for this post is €60,007 - €78,007 per annum. Entry point to the scale will be determined in accordance with Safetynet Primary Care Pay Policy.

  • Working Hours: 35 Hours per week, Monday-Friday

  • Annual Leave: 25 days per annum

  • Location: Mainly based at 60 Amiens Street, Dublin, with a hybrid working arrangement following successful completion of probationary period.
