Safetynet Primary Care (“we”, “our”, “us”) is committed to protecting your privacy and ensuring your personal data is handled safely, respectfully, and in line with Irish and EU data protection law, including the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the Irish Data Protection Acts 1988 to 2018

  • Website usage analytics tools such as Squarespace Analytics. Our website is hosted on Squarespace, which collects anonymous usage data, including pages visited, time on site, referring websites, and general location (country/region). Squarespace does not collect personally identifiable information through its analytics. Data is processed in accordance with Squarespace's privacy policy.

Google Analytics: We use Google Analytics to analyse website traffic. Google Analytics processes the following data: IP address (anonymised), device and browser type, pages visited, time and duration of visit, and general geographic location. This data is used solely to improve our website and understand how visitors engage with our content. Google Analytics uses cookies to collect this information. Google processes data in accordance with its privacy policy.

c) Special category data

Safetynet does not collect medical or clinical data through this website.
Clinical information is processed only within our secure internal systems and never via the public website.

You may feel it is appropriate to include special category data within a CV or cover letter if you are applying for a job with us. We classify all candidate personal data as “restricted”, affording it the highest technical and organisational measures that we apply.

3. How We Use Your Data

We use your data to:

  • Send updates via a newsletter if you would like to receive them

  • Maintain regulatory and financial records

  • Support safeguarding and fraud prevention

  • Assess your suitability for a job with us”

5. How We Store and Protect Your Data

We take appropriate technical and organisational measures to keep your data safe, including:

  • Strict access control limited to authorised personnel

  • Encryption in transit using TLS 1.2 (Squarespace)

  • Encryption at rest using BitLocker AES-256 on endpoint devices

  • Role-based access controls

  • EU-based secure servers

  • Confidentiality agreements for IT maintenance personnel. Donation information is processed through secure, PCI-compliant providers.

6. How Long We Keep Data

We retain data only for as long as necessary for the purpose for which it was collected, or as required by law (e.g., financial record retention periods).

  • Donation and financial records: 7 years (as required by Revenue)

  • Newsletter subscribers: Until you unsubscribe

  • Contact form enquiries: 2 years from last contact

  • Website analytics: 26 months

After these periods, data is securely deleted or anonymised.

Personal data not included in the above bullet, please drop us an email, and we can inform you of the specific period of retention that we apply.

7. Your Rights Under GDPR

You have the right to:

  • Access your data

  • Receive a copy, electronic or paper, of your data

  • Correct inaccurate information

  • Request deletion (“right to be forgotten”)

  • Restrict processing

  • Object to processing

  • Withdraw consent

  • Request we send a copy of the personal data we hold about you to a different service provider.

These providers are contractually required to protect your data in accordance with Articles 28 and 29 of GDPR
