Safetynet Primary Care is currently recruiting for a GP

 

The overall aim of Safetynet is to deliver the highest possible standards of health care to homeless people and, provide a professional support mechanism for health professionals in the homeless sector who are often professionally isolated.

We currently require a GP at our clinic at 70 Eccles Street.  The clinic is supported by a Safetynet Nurse.  3 sessions a week are available Tuesday through Thursday afternoons - ** IMMEDIATE START ** 6 months

The clinic is to support the Emergency Department at the MMHU seeing people who present to ED and who would more appropriately be seen in General Practice.

Safetynet innovatively removes barriers by bringing healthcare to homeless people and vulnerable groups in hostels, food halls, drop-in services and by providing a mobile health service to rough sleepers.  Safetynet also aims to improve access for patients to mainstream primary and secondary care services.

GP sessional services are required for a number of our Safetynet clinics (temporary basis) and we are currently recruiting GPs on a part-time basis.
